I’m all tied up

Kind of literally. Yesterday, I dislocated my shoulder and spent the morning in the emergency room. Now I’m home, but my left (dominant) hand is in a sling.
So, until I’m back in action, you can read my latest post at Duke’s blog.

Sending healing thoughts and prayers, Carol.
Left handed? I knew there was something I liked about you!
Seriously, I’m sorry to hear of your injury. I hope that the bulk of the pain and discomfort is behind you, and am praying for a speedy recovery.
Carol – I did the same thing last July while on study leave at Columbia. I was out for an early morning run, didn’t see a pipe sticking up out of the ground, and fell going down hill. A good friend took me to the ER to get it re-set. I am still dealing with it, but then I also had a break in the humorous (not very funny!) so I hope your injury is not that bad. I am enjoying reading your book and am planning on sharing it with my predominantly older congregation. They could use it!
I too am left-handed. Writing right-handed or typing one-handed has never worked terribly well for me. Do hope you heal fast!
I read your blog yesterday and have already shared it with people in my church. I think you are right on – studying, communication and work in today’s world do look different from what I have experienced all my life. Breaking the cultural expectations of my generation is a challenge for today’s church members and leaders. But folks like you and Bruce are leading us forward.
